The mission of Legal Aid of Western Missouri (LAWMO) is to provide the highest quality legal service to individuals, families and groups faced with economic barriers in obtaining civil legal representation. Services are available to those living below poverty level in a 40-county area in western Missouri. Priority is given to cases involving housing, public benefits (Social Security, food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, AFDC and veterans benefits), employment, domestic abuse, immigration and consumer problems.
