The mission of Legal Aid of Western Missouri (LAWMO) is to provide the highest quality legal service to individuals, families and groups faced with economic barriers in obtaining civil legal representation. Services are available to those living below poverty level in a 40-county area in western Missouri. Priority is given to cases involving housing, public benefits (Social Security, food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, AFDC and veterans benefits), employment, domestic abuse, immigration and consumer problems.

Social and educational activities for senior citizens; congregate meal program at Liberty Silver Center inside the Liberty Community Center. Transportation for residents of Liberty 60 and over or handicapped, age 18 and over. Trips must be scheduled in advance.

Tri-County provides outpatient, inpatient, day treatment, community support, substance abuse prevention and treatment, medication, crisis services, education services and transitional housing for residents of Clay, Platte and Ray counties in need of behavioral health services. Hearing impaired interpreter is available with notice. Also available is consulting to non-profit agencies throughout the region.
